I rarely respond to anything in unsolicited emails, but a beta test from a company called Criteo intrigued me. They have created a widget that automagically analyzes a blog and creates what they call and AutoRoll. An AutoRoll in theory is a blog roll made up of sites that might also be relevant to one’s readers. The value to a blog is more links across the blogosphere pointing to the blog. I’m skeptical of the value of such links, but curious enough to check it out. Find my AutoRoll at the bottom right of the page.

1. Well, the results are in, and I found Criteo to be useless. Lots of “impressions” on other blogs, but as expected very little incoming traffic generated by the service.
